This video will help the viewer to make the connections between what we know about the brain and what you can implement immediately in the classroom to enhance learning. Based on the current research, this video will unveil numerous strategies to increase motivation and learning.

 

The viewer will:

  • Hear a summary of what is known about the human brain, and its relevance to learning
  • Identify what can be done to make the instructional connection between what is known and student learning
  • Recognize that no one strategy is always right, and that the needs of a classroom dictate which practices best meet the needs of students

Sometimes, in spite of all that we do right, students still do not learn. This video will provide a means to identify some of the problems and what we can do to help students learn. An array of topics include:

  • Attention problems
  • Depression
  • Anxiety & stress

The viewer will:

  • Understand the brain related issues that can impair learning
  • Identify positive strategies that can be used to minimize harmful effects of those issues
  • Recognize that almost all of what goes wrong can be treated, requiring varying degrees of intervention
  • Recognize that the teacher’s role is to recognize symptoms, ask questions, and ensure that competent health professionals are sought
