Sometimes, in spite of all that we do right, students still do not learn. This video will provide a means to identify some of the problems and what we can do to help students learn. An array of topics include:
- Attention problems
- Depression
- Anxiety & stress
The viewer will:
- Understand the brain related issues that can impair learning
- Identify positive strategies that can be used to minimize harmful effects of those issues
- Recognize that almost all of what goes wrong can be treated, requiring varying degrees of intervention
- Recognize that the teacher’s role is to recognize symptoms, ask questions, and ensure that competent health professionals are sought
