Grade level: 3-5. This program presents effective strategies kids can use to protect themselves against teasing or bullying. With the help of the "No More Teasing Team" -- peer hosts who introduce common teasing situations and offer solutions -- program shows how students can change their own behavior to lessen teasing or bullying's impact. Teased because of his name, Frankie Flowers finds that fighting his tormentors only makes things worse. He learns that by ignoring them and walking away, he can also take the fun out of their teasing. Aleesia's getting angry -- she's trying to do her homework, but her little brother Jamal keeps teasing her to get her attention. Aleesia's solution is to stay calm, stop and think, then tell Jamal how she feels and what she wants. Angie enjoys teasing her friends, just for fun. By confronting Angie as a group and telling her they will no longer have lunch with her if she continues, her friends get her to stop. Darren learns that teasers like to pick on kids who lack self-confidence. By standing up for himself and trying kindness, he stops Bart's teasing. Two brief "Stop the Teasing" scenarios give viewers practice in using the "Stand Up for Yourself" and "Try Kindness" solutions to being teased.
