The program presents evidence-based strategies and shows teachers what they can do to get more power from co-teaching to improve outcomes for all students. This 32-minute video takes viewers inside elementary, middle and high school classrooms where co-teaching is being implemented in order to meet accountability standards, increase access to the curriculum, and improve outcomes for all students. Viewers will see effective co-teaching in action and will learn simple yet effective instructional strategies and techniques that increase student engagement and participation. Seven key dimensions of effective instructional practices are presentedm along with evidence-based strategies that will help teachers get more power from co-teaching. Releasing the Power!

This 59-minutea training video will help school administrators with implementing co-teaching to meet student needs as well as achievement and accountability standards mandated in federal education law. Viewers will go inside one school district (Charlotte-Mecklenberg School District in Charlotte, NC) to see how the school effectively researched, created, and implemented a district-wide co-teaching initiative, based on the framework developed by Dr. Marilyn Friend, that has become a model for schools across the nation. Includes a digital viewing guide and a rubric for judging the fidelity of implementation using a framework developed by Professor Friend.
